This design explores the beauty of the accidental marks that are normally left outside the finished artwork: splashes, smears, drips, stains, and traces of the painting process itself.
Built on a warm, off-white ground, loose gestures of orange, violet, blue, yellow, and black overlap across the jersey, giving it the character of an artist’s palette, a well-used studio drop cloth, or the layers of peeling posters on a downtown wall. These are surfaces that become more interesting through accumulation, accident, and time. Rather than arranging these elements into a conventional pattern, we kept their irregular placement and imperfect edges, preserving the unique energy of something made by hand rather than engineered on a screen.
Crisp black graphics and Japanese typography spelling “Non-Automotive Department” provide a counterpoint to the looseness of the paint, bringing structure to the chaos while referencing the bold graphic language of late-'80s and early-'90s cycling jerseys.

Crafted with purpose, each panel uses a different technical fabric to optimize performance. Lightweight, breathable materials form the core, while aero-optimized, omni-stretch hexagonal fabric on the sleeves delivers a precision fit. Bi-directional mesh side panels provide ventilation and structural support, and the micro-perforated, SPF 50 back panels offer full coverage without compromising breathability.

Our Italian manufacturing partners sit at the base of the Medieval foothills of Tuscany, about halfway between Florence and Pisa. This small factory, founded by two friends Vincenzo and Franco over forty years ago, is one of the last that is still family-owned and operated, with two generations of craftsmen working and riding side-by-side every day.
